Corey S. Fields, Senior Pastor

Corey is a native of Harrisonburg, VA. He went to James Madison University where he majored in Communication, minored in Music Industry, and played with the Marching Royal Dukes. He received his Master of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, and then moved to the Midwest where he served as Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church, Topeka, KS for 10 years. While there, he earned his Doctor of Ministry from Central Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Dayna have been married since April 2003, and are the proud parents of a son born in October 2007 and a daughter born in April 2010. On those rare occasions of having free time, Corey likes to read, write, play recreational sports, and just be with his family. He and Dayna love beaches and are excited to live closer to them. As a pastor, Corey likes to be active in the community and regularly works with other clergy and community leaders. He has a heart for those who have become disillusioned with the church and says that one of the most fulfilling things for him is being able to give people a safe and non-threatening place to explore God, faith, and other big life questions.
