Anti-Racism

What started as a racial reconciliation group using “Be the Bridge” by Natasha Morrison is now a team of individuals who are committed to the work of anti-racism as part of our identity as a diverse congregation with many people of color who live the daily experience of racism. Our anti-racism action team has produced two resources:

The anti-racism action team also plans activities around heritage months for minority groups that are represented in our congregation, hosts book clubs and movie screenings, etc. For example, in 2023, we partnered with the YWCA to host a community screening of “Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America,” and hosted a book circle around the book Dear Freedom Writers.
