Summer Mission Trips

National Trips

Calvary has sent mission teams to tackle one-week projects based in Dungannon, Virginia; Cosby, Tennesee; Steubenville, Ohio; Gulfport, Mississippi (Katrina relief); and  Pipestem, West Virginia. The projects we typically undertake focus on keeping homeowners warm, safe, and dry, and have included serving in soup kitchens; building wheelchair ramps; and repairing roofing, flooring, insulation, plumbing, electric, replacing stairs and support beams, drywall, water sealing, and painting.

International Trips

In 2006, 2008, and 2012, Calvary teams took 11-day journeys to La Paz, Mexico, working in support of our American Baptist missionaries, David and Joyce Reed. Deep friendships developed between our team and members of the La Paz community as we assisted with clothing distribution, a breakfast program for an impoverished colonia, and with various projects at Principe de Paz Church, such as installing bathroom facilities and a concrete patio for outdoor ministries, and refurbishing the  Education Building.
