Small Groups and Classes
Although what we do at our facility are important, the word “church” refers to people, not a building. Jesus said, “Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Matt. 18:20). Calvary small groups meet in different places for different purposes (some in our church facility, others not). Here you will find a current listing. Contact us to help you connect. PLEASE NOTE: Many small groups wind down in the spring and summer, but we launch new ones every fall. Check back here around September for new opportunities!
Women’s book discussion | Second Monday of the month, 8:30 p.m., via Zoom
Women of all ages are invited for candid conversation, stimulating reading, and mutual support! Contact us for the Zoom link. The group is currently reading “How to Acknowledge a Person” by Arthur Brooks.
Loops of Love | Second Saturdays, 9:30-11am, Room 207
The ‘Calvary Baptist Newark Delaware Prayer Shawl Team’ is now the ‘Loops of Love Team!’ This new name reflects our ongoing mission to share love, comfort, and care through a variety of heartfelt creations, including shawls, lap blankets, prayer pockets, and more. Though our name has changed, our dedication to serving others with compassion and grace remains unwavering. We are eager to continue spreading love through every stitch!
Ladies Devotional Luncheon I (4) Saturdays per year
Join Calvary’s women quarterly (4 times per year) for a lunch and fellowship as well as an always inspiring devotional led by our own Pam Hart.
Adult Fellowship Bible Study class | Sundays, 9:30 a.m., Room 201
Committed to studying through all of the Bible on a six-year cycle using the International Sunday School Lesson plan. Objective is to gain insights into how we can more effectively serve Jesus Christ.
Men’s Study Group | Second Saturdays
We meet in-person on second Saturdays from 9-10:30am in the Fellowship Hall.
Disciples with Grace and Wisdom | Second Thursday
A space for learning, connection, and spiritual renewal, created with our senior members in mind. A monthly gathering for Bible Study and fellowship designed to encourage meaningful connection across this season of life.
